That’s right! Nearly a decade has passed since we organized the first Gift of Life and Breath 5K Race, held at Cherry Creek Park on May 19, 2007.
Much has been accomplished during that time. Proceeds from the event, as well as other gifts and contributions, now total more than $750,000. This funding has advanced several projects dedicated to improving early detection of lung cancer, which claims more than 155,000 lives a year nationwide.
The Gift of Life and Breath has a story: a story that started long before the first runner hit the pavement, a story that we want to share with you. In upcoming newsletters, we will take a look back in time to when one man’s journey gave way to hope. With that hope came a gift…a gift that carries on…
…the gift of life and breath.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and best wishes
for a happy and healthy new year.
